Why I started learn.ai8
30 May 2026 · #meta #manifesto
I keep a lot of half-finished thoughts about AI in notes apps, Slack DMs to myself, and browser tabs I never close. This is where they go to get finished.
learn.ai8 is field notes from building with AI inside itm8's skunk works. Not the press-release version — the real one. What worked, what wasted a week, and the small moves that turned a flashy demo into something a team could actually rely on.
What you'll find here
- Stories — short pieces on what I'm seeing, trying, and changing my mind about.
- Links — the articles and videos I'd actually send a colleague, with a line on why.
- How-tos (members) — the step-by-step builds. Prompts, wiring, and the gotchas that cost me time so they don't cost you any.
The free stuff is free because ideas spread when you give them away. The members section exists because the details — the exact prompt, the retry logic, the eval that caught the regression — take real work to write down well.
Make it useful or don't publish it.
That's the whole editorial policy. See you in the next one.
